This has been an exciting year for Apra! Especially notable this year is our milestone 30th anniversary, along with our new brand, mission and vision.
You may have noticed that all things Apra look a bit different as of late. Recently, we revamped the Apra website in alignment with our new brand identity. And then in late July, the Body of Knowledge received a facelift. The BOK itself hasn’t changed — it’s still the same powerful tool — but we’ve made it even easier to get to the information you need more quickly. This includes:
- Assessments to see where you stand and what should be your focus
- FAQs and glossary pages to expand your knowledge
- See how others are utilizing the tool through case studies and member stories
Please go to www.aprahome.org/bok to check out all of the changes!
Apra continues to innovate, and I am particularly proud of our latest education offering, Plug In to Prospect Research. Plug In will be an interactive experience, with opportunities to network with speakers and other attendees. Make sure to register early so you and your team can take advantage of the online community, which includes a discussion forum, resource materials, polls, session recordings, recommended reading, an event guide and maybe a treat or two to get you ready for the big event. This will be unlike any online education you have participated in before! It is cost effective and allows multiple team members to participate. I encourage you to register today at aprahome.org/plugin.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve as your Apra president this past year. This organization remains the source for expertise in prospect development, and I am a proud member. I look forward to the coming year under the leadership of Apra’s first international president, co-author of Prospect Research in Canada: An Essential Guide for Researchers and Fundraisers, Liz Rejman.
Immediate Past President, Apra
